Natal is the main date for Brazilian e-commerce and should reach R $ 9.4 billion in 2018, according to data from ABComm (Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association). With this increase in demand, the virtual stores take advantage to raise the prices of their products. This is what the survey conducted by Precifica points out .

The company, which specializes in dynamic pricing for e-commerce, conducted a survey between November 1 and December 11, 2018. The average price of the analyzed products showed inflation of 12.6% . The highest increase was recorded on November 7: 32.3% in relation to the start of the survey. The lowest average price was obtained on November 24, the day after Black Friday, with a deflation of 9.9% .

In total, 8,053 products were analyzed at seven e-commerce sites across the country, including large retailers operating in the marketplace model – which allows third-party vendors to offer their items to these portals. Five categories were analyzed: “Toys”, “Cell Phones & Smartphones”, “Home Appliances”, “Games” and “TV & Video”.
